Flipoki Privacy Policy
Flipoki is a fast multiplayer card game. We designed it to work without accounts, passwords, e-mail addresses or phone numbers. This page explains the small amount of data we do handle, why, and what your choices are.
1. Who we are
Flipoki is operated by Hassan Aourik (“we”). Contact: ha.aourik@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Nickname you type before a match | Shown to other players in your room; used to record wins, losses and XP on a leaderboard-style profile keyed by that nickname | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Gameplay data (cards played, match results, room codes, emoji reactions) | Running the game in real time and keeping match history | Live game state: until the room closes. Match results: up to 500 most recent matches |
| Technical data (IP address, device/OS type, connection timestamps) | Delivering the service, security, abuse prevention and crash diagnostics | Server logs are rotated automatically (≤ 30 days) |
| Language preference | Remembering your chosen language (English, French or Arabic) | Stored only on your device |
We do not collect your name, e-mail, contacts, location, photos, or payment details, and we do not run analytics SDKs that profile you.
3. Advertising (mobile apps)
The iOS and Android apps may show ads between matches through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address and coarse ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, in line with Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from partner apps.
- Consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland): before any ad loads you will see a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform). You can refuse personalised ads and still play; you can change your choice at any time from the game's settings.
- iOS: the app asks for permission via App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised across apps.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.
The web version at flipoki.com currently shows no ads.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Running the game and keeping it secure: performance of a contract and legitimate interests. Personalised advertising: your consent. Non-personalised advertising to fund the free game: legitimate interests, which you may object to.
5. Sharing
We share data only with processors that help us run Flipoki: OVHcloud (hosting, EU data centres) and Google AdMob (advertising, mobile apps only). Your nickname and card counts are visible to the other players in the same room. We never sell personal data.
6. Children
Flipoki is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no account details, please e-mail us the nickname you used and we will remove the associated records within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Security
All traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS / WSS). Game data is stored on access-controlled servers in the European Union.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you inside the app.
